Africa is currently going through the worst drought the region has seen in 60 years, leaving water sources dry and children starving. Nearly two million of them under five years are at risk of death and disease from this deadly combination of drought and escalating food prices. We need your help to provide essential food supplies to these children.
In response to the desperate situation in Africa, UNICEF is providing emergency food to save starving children in East Africa. In the worst affected areas, Somalia, Kenya and Ethiopia, we have already distributed food to over 160,000 malnourished children. However, with two million children at risk, we need your help to provide supplies to many more children. Please donate today!

So far this month, by plane, truck and ship, UNICEF has delivered 1,300 metric tons of life-saving supplies to some of the hardest hit areas in southern Somalia. We could not do this without the generous support of our supporters. Thank you.
Most recently a ship has arrived in Mogadishu carrying 200 tonnes of therapeutic milk and 1.7 million packages of high-calorie therapeutic peanut paste. Read more.
If you have donated already, on behalf of the children of east Africa thank you.
If you're still considering making a donation, know that big or small, your donation will make a life-saving difference. To be restored back to health, a malnourished child just needs three sachets of Therapeutic Food per day. With each sachet of Therapeutic Food cost just 70cents, $2.10 will feed a child for one day!
