The problems children face in the Solomons to get an education are huge, especially when schools have no electricity, safe water, toilets, or even desks. Since the 2007 earthquake/tsunami which devastated many schools, UNICEF has been ‘building back better’, building a Solomon’s fit for children. Recently Gareth Morgan has offered to match every dollar we raise, to build 46 schools.

After inspecting UNICEF's work, Gareth and Jo Morgan have pledged to match every dollar UNICEF can raise to rebuild/refurbish 46 schools in the Western and Choiseul provinces of the Solomon Island.
