The powerful earthquake of 7.0 magnitude that struck Haiti on Tuesday, 12 January 2010 was the worst ever in the Western Hemisphere. Close to 1.5 million children were directly affected and now, months on, the children still desperately need help. Help us BUILD BACK BETTER, help us build a Haiti fit for children!

Such is the scale of the devastation in Haiti, the emergency response of UNICEF will last for months to come. To date, UNICEF has: vaccinated 104,000 children, provided 1,400 temporary classrooms, 200,000 teaching kits, and 720,000 school backpacks, plus is helping to supply 5litres of water to 1million people per day. Help us build a Haiti fit for children!
