UNICEF New Zealand - children are our future... Unicef are here to help. We visited 2 unicef projects in Shymkent KAZ
The fundraising mission:
We are biking from Bucharest Romania to Beijing China. Along the way we will be visiting a Unicef project in the south of Kazakhstan.

Update for 25/09/2011

Andrew and I are now finished the bike ride. We biked from Bucharest to Beijing in 99 days with a total of 18 non biking / rest days. We covered 11,015km and meet a lot of people. People helped us along the way when we needed help, like givig us food and water when we had run out (in over 50 degree heat) or when a town was listed on the GPS and nothing there.
Our visit to the Unicef Shymkent was a highlight for us. Meeting people on the ground doing awesome work. I know that I would find it difficult to do what they do, day in and day out.
We are keeping the donation page open for a little longer as there are more people hearing about what we did now since we completed the adventure.

Enter details of your update herewe are nowin Astrakhan RUSSIA. we have biked over 3200km and will enter KAZ tomoro. our next stop will be in about a month which will be the UNICEFproject. It will be good to see the project and the children it is helping.
